Just got hired at stop and shop grocery store.?

I got hired at Stop and Shop grocery store, and I have to fill out some papers for today to get my name process. In the interview he only asked me my available times but didn't ask me when I can start. The problem is that I have a vacation on August 2nd to August 6th. I am not sure if I should of told him in the interview and plus I want to give my other job two weeks notice. Should I say to him I want to give my other job two weeks notice or should I just tell him about my vacation?

"I am eager and excited to start working with you. However I need to make sure to fullfill my duties and give proper notice to my current job. I am available to begin working for you and your company on August 8th."

(you know, give yourself a day to get from vacation)

I've been with Stop and Shop for three years.. started as a bagger, then became a cashier, then CDH, now I do Cash Office and am expecting to get full time within the next few months.

I'm sure your manager will be okay with you taking the first few weeks off- but if they don't "like" you within the first month, they can fire you because you're not in the union yet.. so be careful!

you should have told them about your holiday in the interview =/

if i were you i would just be honest and tell them you have to hand in your notice, if you do that then they wont expect you to start work till 2 weeks, and within two weeks would be your holiday aswell right?

You need to tell him about both
