The best way to learn a new language is to do fun games and activities. Since you are posting in Primary & Secondary Education, I'll assume that you are young. My daughter is in the process of learning French and she loves to visit sites like:

http://www.toupieetbinou.com/ - Toupie speaks very well and clearly. Play the games with him and put what he is saying in context.

http://www.tfo.org/jeux/mini/ - A TV station from Quebec Canada that features nice games. I've just played a game that teaches the child to count vegetables. But the character tells you which vegetable to count and shows a picture.

Another good hint, for example, the toupieetbinou site has an English button, and other sites offer French/English, choose the French option and see how far you can get.

Anyway, these are the only two that I can remember right now. I have a list at home of other good "to learn french" websites that my daughter's French educator suggested. PM me and I'll dig it up for you.
