Can my KVM switch make my mouse stop working?

I have used my 'Petite' 2 port PS/2 KVM switch CS - 62A without problems untill recently. I now find that my mouse freezes jerks and stops all together sometimes. If I put my computer into 'Hibernation' it solves the problem temporary. This happens on both computers - so I think it must be the switch. Is there anything I can try to resolve this?

OR it could be the mouse. Try a new mouse OR try your existing mouse directly to the PC.

Sometimes the wires of a heavily used mouse fail/break over time. Intermittent contact causes the error/stoppage.
