Irag banned from the Beijing Olympics " for political inference in Olympic affairs."?
If this was the case, shouldn't the USA be banned as well?
I'm sorry, I meant IRAQ
I just saw it in Yahoo! News

Haha.. where's Irag? LOL. do you mean Iraq? :)
From what I heard on the news last night, it was actually because they failed to present an appeal to the olympics committee by a certain deadline and therefore were banned.

Is there a link to back this up? Where did you hear this?
I guess I am a little behind on the times...where can I read about this?
edit: I can't say that I agree with you on this one. It said that they were banned because they did not use IOC approved members. I don't think it is right to punish the athletes for their actions, but I can understand why they were banned. I don't think that we should be banned because we did not violate any stipulations set by the IOC. Good question, though!

Its unfortunate that they did that, and its bull sh*t.
Of course they're not gonna ban USA from the Olympics no matter what. A group of bullies will never shove each other around, only shove the little guys around.

Glad you corrected your spelling. Irag sounds like something terrible!
Let's ban everyone and don't hold an Olympics... in Beijing.

No, we didn't interfere with Olympic affairs, we interfered with Iraqi affairs.
They didn't use Olympic approved people.
