Re irless connection signal strength?
Hi, My sons Fujitsu amilo laptop has probs with signal strength to my brand new home hub. n He told me that he couldnt get online at all nas the signal was non existant, His Bedroom is upstairs and my hub is in my bedroom downstairs. I got ,my wife to bring it down to me, even with his laptop in next room from hub, literally 3 feet away through the front rooms wall. I casn go online no probs in front room even though signal is low. Can this problem be fixed by me or is it a repair shop job. anyone got any ideas?

couple of things to try.....first can you bring another laptop in to see if the problem is the laptop itself. are the other computers on the network getting low or high signals. you don't say what kind of hub you have (cable, satellite, dsl) so it makes it a little hard to help you.

either his laptop has a crappy card inside to connect with or your hub has a really low output, on my wireless i can go out in the garden and i can go on the internet up the road its great! =]
