Ideas, suggestions, examples needed???10pts best answer!!?

Just a few ideas (that would probably be better if it weren't so late - eastern time) - and I don't know if person is man/woman or boy/girl - but maybe this will help get you started:

Stupefied ... wants to see the news broadcast again because can't believe it's true ...

stands up, starts yelling NO at the TV ...

staggers as he/she stands .... as if drunk...

crumples to floor but can't take eyes off the TV - as if there were answers there, or as if hoping for a "mistaken identity" announcement...

jacknifes in pain (bends double at waist), practically falls to floor from the shock (this happened to me when I got a phone call telling me my mom had died - it was like a huge blow to the gut)

Actually...this just happened to me a week and a half ago. I got the news by email though rather than television.

A little 5 year old girl that I knew died.

I wasn't sure how to react. I just stared at the screen for about 5 minutes straight with thoughts racing through my head saying that everything was perfectly fine and that nothing had really happened. But then once I went downstairs to tell my mom....the truth hit me. She really had died.

A sudden violent impact on your mind and emotions that causes you an acute state of pain that radiates throughout you body leaving you physically weak and completely sick to your stomach. Your spirit becomes depressed when you acknowledge the loss rendering you hopelessl. The despair causing each breath you take sharp as a knife and your heart feeling that it has an open wound that doesn't want to heal. The horror to much to take in mentally so you double check to see if you heard right as denial is a temporary reprieve from the excruciating pain your feeling. Good luck on your story and I hope you never have to feel any of these emotions.

well if i turned on my tv and realized that my closest friend ad died. I would probably be so shocked and sad, that i wouldn't cry until it actually hit me.

just think about how you would feel if that would happen?, and use that in your story
