The first 12 weeks and after that you are fine but most airlines wont let you fly once you go over 36 weeks.
Check with the airline as well because some require a doctors certificate to say you are well enough to fly.
Travel safe.

I've flown six times within Western Australia since 8 weeks pregnancy (500km each time, so not quite as far as Perth-Melbourne).
Each airline has a different policy, so it depends which you're taking.
Virgin= to 36 weeks with a single pregnancy, to 34 with a multiple, or on doctor's advice earlier if there are any complications

Qantas (domestic only)= right up to 40 weeks with an uncomplicated single pregnancy; doctor's clearance required for uncomplicated multiple pregnancy after 36 weeks

JetStar= Pretty much as Qantas but with a few extra details

So you'll be fine- my baby kicks quite a bit on take-off, which I think is because of the droning engines on those Skywest planes :) Otherwise no problems. Unfortunately I should be in Istanbul right now instead of sitting at home in WA, but we had to cancel the holiday we had planned because Emirates airlines won't allow pregnant flight from 28 weeks, and we were coming home after that :(
Have fun in Melbourne!

I've heard you can fly as long as your not in your last trimester, because you are closer to your due date and you may go into labor and you don't want that to happen on a plane. I'm not sure if there are any other risks...but your doctor could tell you. Also, sitting for long periods of time could be uncomfortable for you, so if you do fly, make sure you get up and walk around when you can.

You should check with your doctor. Some doctors say that you shouldn't fly at 3 months and more because it could be risky for your baby. Others say it is fine to fly, but not when your 6 months and on. So if I were you, to be on the safe side, you should check with your doctor so that you dont have to be worrying if you made a right decision or not

You should not fly after 33-34 weeks of pregnancy but you should always consult your doctor because every woman is different and every pregnancy is different.
Also most airlines will not let you travel unless you have a medical certificate that proves you and the baby are healthy to travel and you will not have the baby on the plane.
Good Luck.

it should be okay but a couple of things I would recommend. 1) Get a copy of your prenatal record from your doctor or midwife. If you do start having problems while your gone it is EXTREMELY helpful to the hospital to have a copy of that information. 2) Also talk to your doctor or midwife about your trip. Let them know that you are going on a trip. He/She might want to give you a quick once over before you leave to make sure everything is fine before you go.

Lots of people fly while they are pregnant, right up until about 7 or 8 months. My daughter flew when she was 8 months pregnant, though at that stage you should probably check with your midwife or doctor.

It all depends on your doctor as to when they would recommend no flying. However, 19 weeks is fine.

I flew from Auckland to Wellington at 32 weeks but most airlines wont let you fly in your third trimester (especially international flights). But check with your doctor to be sure.
good-luck
