How long does it take to learn how to sing?

When it comes to singing, practice makes perfect.

The more often you sing- the better your singing will be.

I think that if you warm up your vocal chords first, and practice often (in the shower, on a walk, etc..) then you will be just fine.

When I wanted to learn to sing better, I joined the choir at

my church. In addition to 2 practices per week and singing at mass on Sundays, I was given a cassette tape. The tape really helped me, as I practiced at home. I was able to hit the notes on key, after singing along with it so many times.

Remember to breath from your diaphragm. Work on posture, and open your mouth wide. Speak each word clearly (smiling helps. Don't worry, you won't look stupid even if you feel it, and you will get used to it). As for learning to sing, it depends on how fast you learn the technique, and how much natural ability you start with. Anybody can learn to sing, but some people have a harder time than others. It took me about a month to learn how to sing (and I had never sung before). Just keep pressing for your goal and keep practicing, and you'll have singing down in no time. Learning to sing can take alot of years, time and money for does who think you have to learn to sing.

All you have to do is strengthen your singing tools like your vocal chords, and your breathing.

Speaking of breathing YOU HAVE TO BREATH CORRECT IN ORDER TO SING PERIOD.

>try simple exerciese like breathing in for 5 secs. hold for 5 secs, and inhale slowly for 5 secs. and slowly increase until you can inhale for the count of 20.

*Remeber do not breath from chest always breath with your stomach.

Try lying on the floor place one hand on your stomach and one hand on your chest and breath your stomach should move up and down and your chest should not move at all. try doing this with the breathing exercieses. once you've mastered this technique you've pretty much ready to sing.

All you have to do is controll how much air you take in and how much comes out.

then practice singing scales to strengthen each of your vocal ragiesters: Head, Middle, and Low.

then finish with simple cool downs like humming.

but you can learn how to sing better

just keep singing in the shower

i personally think singing lessons are usless

they just charge money to get you to sing notes

every one can sing so it should not be long at all so just try

it's impossible to learn

plus it takes your whole life to acually be the best you can.

you have to reach inside of you and pull out the inner singer

find something that inspires you to sing.
