name of handgun?

in the tv show Flashpoint, the 3rd episode "line of fire", the drug dealer uses a hand gun with a "street name" of the jury. Its a five shot revolver around a shotgun barrel. Just looking for its real name.

When you say "revolver around a shotgun barrel", it reads like you mean a revolving cylinder whose axle is a shotgun barrel.

The only gun I have ever heard of which uses a shotgun barrel as the axle for a revolving cylinder is the LeMat "Grape Shot Revolver", invented by Dr. Jean LeMat of New Orleans in 1856. It was a 9 shot .42 caliber cap-and-ball on which the cylinder revolved around a 16 gauge shot gun barrel. It was considered excellent armament for horse soldiers and was fielded by the Confederacy in the War of Southern Secession.

The Pietta company of Brescia, Italy has manufactured modern reproductions of the LeMat revolver since 1985. It is imported into the US by three or four companies. Because it is a muzzle loading firearm with a percussion cap ignition system, it is exempt from the National Firearms Act (NFA).

Any modern cartridge-based version of the LeMat would fall under the NFA and require the tax stamp for a short-barreled shotgun. AFAIK, no company is building a firearm like the LeMat for modern cartridges.

The Taurus "Judge" is a normal revolver that happens to have a long enough cylinder to accept 45 Colt cartridges and short .410 shotshells. It may be the gun in the show. Here is a video about it:

Typically juvenile Hollywood rewording of an existing gun

The gun in real life is called The Judge and is made by Taurus

It is a 45 caliber five shot revolver with an extended cylinder to accommodate .410 shot shells

A gimmick gun that has been tried before and just ripe for the ignorant Hollywood anti gun crowd to jump on

Sounds like the "Judge," a Taurus revolver made to fire either the .45 (Long) Colt revolver round or the .410 shotgun round.

purchase the gun in a private transaction in case your state helps it Many states enable 18 and over to own and own handguns, many don no longer Having somebody else purchase a gun for you which incorporate your money is a straw purchase they are in a position to apply their own money and supply it to you as a recent there's no rattling FIRST KINDRED RULE i individually desire Glacier might end attempting to bypass off that fantasy or instruct some information to back it up The regulation in basic terms says that's advisable use your guy or woman money to purchase a gun, no longer something extra and not something much less It does not remember who you provide it to as a professional present If the guy is unlawful from possessing firearms regulations are broken, yet no longer straw purchase regulations I even have given many nephews and nieces weapons No regulations have been broken I even have given associates weapons and no regulations have been broken I even have given associates nephews weapons and no regulations have been broken there's no regulation everywhere pointing out that basically a confirm can supply a gun or that basically a confirm can furnish ammo it is the main ludicrous remark made yet in short No you may no longer have a handgun on your call in case you reside in a community that demands helps, licenses or registration to own a handgun then they are going to very nearly consistently require which you're over 21 to own in case you reside in a state that demands none of those they often enable possession at 18
