I need serious help.?

Question

I got fired from my job because of downsizing with out notice. I have been tring to find a job from Feb. till now. I have applied for everthing from security to dishwasher. I am about to get kicked out of my apt. and worse I can't pay for school and might get kicked out of there aswell. I need help If you are or know of anyone hiring in Austin TX. I am a great worker and willing to learn how to do just about damn near anything. I have searched for jobs everywhere but here. I am in school from 12pm (in seat) to 515- 530pm depending on how long winded the teacher is. I am willing to work all the other hours in the night. I have one job (workstudy) I get paid 200 every two weeks rent is 440 and school is way to much I can't make it. Any suggestions, leads or help will be greatly apprissiated. Pls no Online work I don't have money to buy food I can't afford to buy into a buisness right now thx.

I have tried unemployment the company appealed the dission and won now I owe the workforce commision 1300 dollars when they only game me 340. my school keeps giving me "hotjobs" a piece of paper with people's # that tell me to call later. thanks for all of yalls input and info. ps I am not a felon I use to work in a prison I have a clean record aside from the occational speeding ticket.

laid off means you get unemployment have you looked into that? i work for allied barton security they are always hiring you will have to take a test to become liscened but it is really easy and there is no gaurentee you will get a great paying post but they deffently have work. if you have a good car and will work anytime you can be a rover and work up to 60 hours a week easy. you will also need to pass a drug test. 512-371-7577 is the office number.

First of all, take a deep breath! Check into filing what used to be called a Stay of Eviction..basically a delay while you try to sort things out financially.  Call your local County Clerk at the courthouse for info.  Apply for food stamps or hit the food banks. Hit the employment agencies and state employment offices.  Just keep at it and dont give up.  Good Luck.

You should probably also check with your schools administrative offices. They probably have a job placement program for students and they can also point you in the right direction for student aid. Many business offer this type of employment to students.

Try craigslist for jobs in the Austin area
 and you can find maybe a room mate 
Try walmart they are always hiring and there flexable

If you were laid off you should be eligible for unemployment.  You should be able to easily find a job in Austin, go to HEB, etc.  They hire you instantly.  Are you a felon?

well if no one is hiring in your town or counties near you, no waitor, secretary, or anything positions, then the only thing yiu can do is go on the web and either sell some of your stuff or anything like that

create a profile online at like monster.com or one of those business people for sale type sites.

whatever you do dont borrow money you cant give back, like with lonesharks banks or friends and family.

Donate plasma; deliver pizzas for Dominoes; check with temp agencies, UPS. You may want to suspend your studies for a semester or two until you are financially able to resume them.

sell stuff on EBAY.  open an account.  REMEBER TAKE EXCELLENT PICTURES.  MARKETING IS EVERYTHING.
