u don't necessary have to be a star and make all the tackles. As long as you don't get pushed back 10 yards on run plays or lying on your back after the play's over you'll be fine. Our HS coach did the same too, they just pick the two biggest guys on our team and made them D-Tackles. the coaches probably saw something in you.

It's overall a pretty solid team I think. You did a good job putting together a good WR/RB core while still getting a QB that can get you 15-20 points a week. You've got risky, but high potential RBs with Matthews and Stewart. As for WRs, I think White and Cruz are solid. Meachem is the one guy I'm not so sure about, but Rivers basically has no other good options with Vincent Brown injured, so maybe he's a sleeper. I like Finley as your TE even though some experts seem to not. As for the bench, it's all right, not amazing. You don't have any real good sleepers there. Ben Tate only really has value if Foster is injured (he's a good back, but Fosters the guy). Manningham might be ok, but he's not a greatly talented WR and doesn't have the greatest QB either. Celek might as well be dropped because there's no need for a backup TE if you've got a decent one starting, and Celek isn't even a great fantasy TE. Schaub is a good backup QB with Manning a possible question mark. Randle, Tebow, and Royal have little value I think and probably are the first guys you should drop. I'd recommend looking at some preseason stats, even though they may be useless, for some possible sleepers. Obviously you need some RB depth and finding sleepers can start now. The Chiefs D and Tebow should be the 2 spots you can work with for now. If this is a 10 team league, you've got a pretty decent team that with some good FA pickups can contend, and if this is a 12 team league, the championship might be yours to lose.

Coach must not be very good or the team isn't very good. For the coach to give the starting spot to a person he has never seen before sounds like inexperience or a bad team. Play along with it I mean he chose you. Tell him your not that good.

Well the way I see it there are 2 things you can do...show them you deserve the spot by working your @ss off... or tell them you suck so that the team doesn't fail because you just want to play... no offense but the teams sucess should come 1st

Make sure your the best and work really hard, or you can injure the other players trying to steal your spot.

Iwas the same way but i played quarterback i just work hard learned wat i had to and proformed to the best of my ability in the game thats all you can really do. When you get a chance to do extra things to help u do it it will payoff.
