people own rights to the song therefore royalities would have to be paid to the right-holders if the song the person was singing was aired on t.v

It isn't allowed if they are singing copyrighted music. CBS would be held liable for having a song "performed" without the consent of the person who owns the rights to it.
celexa: no you did not miss it. It is on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday (the move to Thursday starts this week).

They are allowed to sing because they are wearing microphones and it gets in the way.
Big brother is on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday now.
Watch showtime 2 after dark every day at 9pm pacific time.
