It depends on the guy. If he is decent looking, smart and confident, I would think that he probably couldn't afford to go. I would also think that maybe the guy is so smart that he knows of other ways (legal ways of course) on how to become successful.
If he looks like a bum, doesn't speak will, looks lazy and is not a decent person, I would think that he's a loser.
Although I believe that a college degree is important, I know a FEW people who have become successful without a college degree. They were very intelligent and they had a gift of talking to people and make themselves look really important. However, although they didn't go to school, they spent ALOT of time doing research and reading books and talking to people about building a successful business or worked hard to get better positions in the company that they were working for.

A typical Egyptian question,
we should learn how to communicate with the rest of the civilized world before thinking of getting a degree that will barely be recognized by any other country in the world
please do not take that personally....it's an advice from a friend, learn as many languages as you can perfect them and travel the world then you will understand what I mean.

I look for the positive things that this person has - the things that he is good at
I wonder about his background and automatically presume that his parents were not academic or highly educated (it is bad to presume anything but I do that)
I might wonder if he has a special need in learning and so could not succeed in exams and stuff
I might envy him for his lack of academic headaches
I remember that many of the world's most successful people in business etc never had a degree and wish him success

Pretty much so! I think there should be a penalty for this type of person, if it's a woman or a man. Any woman who would do this, is a wh*re, and needs a wake up call. These type of women have been hurt by somebody in their childhood, and this is their way of getting back at their own demons. They don't care who they hurt, they only care about what they can get, and how much trouble they can cause. Good Luck!!!

Well, of the first five things I'd discover about someone, whether they had a degree or not would only come in around 10 or so.
Character
Intelligence
Similar philosophies/life goals
Sense of humour
Looks

1. Why he hasn't got a degree?
2. There must be a reasonable justification of why he didn't get it.
3. I start wondering about the difficulty of earning a degree nowadays.
4. I assume that he did not get a degree not because lack of intelligence but because lack of money.
5. Finally, I do not blame him for not getting a degree because the education system in Egypt sucksssssssssssss.

i would consider the following :
his financial situation when he dropped out
his circumstances when he dropped out .
his intellect , could he resume his education ?
his status at present , bec he might be in a good position that makes him acceptable in his community .
i know several people who didnt continue their education.
their maturity , self confidence , and success make me respect them.
going to the university has become an obstacle that many cannot overcome .
we have to accept and respect those who find their way in life outside the university walls .
degrees and certificates are not everything in life .
in the West , few continue their studies , the rest achieve success in their way.

Nothing, perhaps help him, I love people and many times we can help just with a sweet word, we can change life with nice words and make feel different and help him to have his goals.
