I like both Pinball Wizard and Boston's Peace of mind (Don't know if it was recorded the same, but when I saw them they played the opening with an acoustic guitar)

Alot of Beatles songs had John on an acoustic guitar and George on an electric, so that's gonna have to be my answer. Pinball Wizard gets an honorable mention too.

I would imagine some might consider this rather pedestrian but I like the acoustic version of Eric Clapton's Layla.

I would have to say 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' by Green Day. I'm a huge Green Day fan though. Pinball Wizard ia another favourite. I love the distinct sound to it.

Well, there's Jars of Clay's "Rain", which starts with a twelve string acoustic and then gets joined by an electric. Then there's GreenDay's "I walk Alone" which does the same.
