Anyone surprised to see another corrupt Republican indicted??

Good old Ted "drill, drill, drill." Stevens might have been in the pocket of Big Oil. Surprised??..or are you just adding another name to a long list of corrupt Republicans willing to do anything (and step on the citizens they represent) to make sure their favorite big business makes larger and larger profits.... of which they are happy to take a cut??

From the form of the question.... you should know how I stand but I'm always open to being made aware of the error of my thoughts. Any evidence that I am wrong (yes evidence) would be appreciated.

Who are these guys that think two wrongs make a right??

Let me guess... Old Marine resides deep in the dirty South somewhere in Louisiana... he references the witch hunt against Bill Clinton pertaining to a BJ... rather than corruption, a dirty Democratic Congressman from Louisiana (not a Senator), and the former Governor of LA (not a Senator) and Ray Nagin... a mere mayor.... and thinks that is somehow justification for a dirty SENATOR who has been in the SENATE since 1968.

(By the way Old Marine.... Stevens was appointed to the Senate for his first term by a Republican governor to replace a Democrat who had died).

So Stevens has been in the premier halls of power in this country for forty years.... dirty... and probably appointed by a dirty governor (Hickel) who at the very least did not care much for the will of the people.

And Lipsticker.... how in the world is that even relevant?? Edwards is just a citizen.... isn't it about time you Republicans start getting laid yourselves and stop worrying that the Dem's are having all the fun??

I am not in the least surprised. The investigation has been going on for months if not years.... and why would anyone be surprised that the "party of big business" has a few member who are willing to take under the table funds from those same businesses. Lot of back scratching going on in the Senate Office Building from guys that wandered down from K Street.

Nope, not surprised at all. It's not just one political party...it's a lack of moral fiber in each individual. It's about the mindset that says "I've got money, power, and enough people stupid enough to elect me to my position just because I look good, sound good, and talk really fast (too fast for them to listen)". For the rare politician that actually does something good, it's still all about what that will eventually do for him, at some future date, so that his particular party will be able to remember the "good ole days". Nope...not surprised at all. I think they all should be tossed out on their royal petoots and made to get a real job! <*)))><

Hmmm, the Republican Justice Department accused of favoring Republicans is investigating and charging a Republican Senator? How can this be?!?

Nope. Now let's sit back and watch the Republican fan club respond with "yeah, but remember that one time the Dem did this......".....like it makes better or even ok in their eyes.

I am shocked he wasn't caught blowing a dude or something. Most of these Republican politicians are closet homos. Especially the ones who really hate the gays.

Ted is the GOP version of Robert Byrd who held the title of "King of Pork" for many years. As for corruption, show me someone in either party who isn't.

Not at all. Unlike the democrats who publically support Klansmen (D-WV) and murderers (D-MA) or grifters (D-LA) Republicans will let their own go to jail instead of screaming blue bloody murder and kick and scream. This shows me one critical thing. Democrats are infinatly currupt becasue the fact of the matter is if somebody knows where your bodies are buried they can get you to stand by them through ANYTHING. Got no bodies got no worries.

This reminds me of Tony Rezco who is Obama's close personnel friend. Stevens hasn't been convicted yet though. If he is then you libs can shamelessly gloat...

Was Jefferson taking money from Big Refrigeration?

Stevens got what he deserved while Murtha, Dodd and the aforementioned Willy are all unblemished

No surprises. What surprises me are the working stiffs who vote for Repubs when they do not represent them at all. Unless you are a millionaire, you will be ignored by the Repubs.
