Absolutely it should be. In fact, in many cases it already is. Parents, being more experienced, more mature (hopefully) and wiser (again, hopefully) will treat their children in a differing manner as they do their peers, friends and other members of their family. Mentally handicapped people are treated differently. Doctors and professors are treated differently. In a more social setting, intelligence should play less of a key in our interactions with other people. Like most things in life, there is no absolute. Intelligence should not be the lone criterion on how we treat or interact with people, but by no means should it be ignored.

intelligence doesn't really have much to do with treating people well.. i believe that to treat you fellow man well.. you have to use your heart and that involves comaraderie.. which is kindness attributed to love... that is the basis of becoming friends and understanding a person...To care.. i don't believe intellect is key here. Intellect has to do with the mind.. which makes choices and thinks about people by examining them.. That could in turn become a basis to stereotype and mis-judge somebody.. anyhow.. that's what i feel

Personal experience shall be used when deciding how to treat others; through the experience knowledge and intelligence will be gained.

Absolutely not. Some people will always be smarter than others but at the end of the day, all people should be treated with equal respect.

If Einstein were still alive, would you like him to treat you badly just because he might be smarter than you?

    Sometimes.

You have to treat those with limited intelligence (i.e., mental retardation) differently in some respects than someone who has average or higher intelligence.

However, in general one should try to treat all people with respect and kindness.

  • In some circumstances, yes, in others no. But in any case, I certainly think that harangues against "the intellectual elite" are ridiculous, nothing more than a means by which to make the uneducated fear the educated, and subsequently expose themselves to political manipulation.

take care on dealing with other people. if you treat him as you should treat an idiot inside a classroom you may be ridiculed for he may stand out in other genre.

For humans a basis upon which all desisions is formed would be an intellect. Faculty which humans dare to develop..Intelligence it is that from which all the existence springs. intellect seems to be a threat for all the existence.

Not always : I'd prefer a moron who is loyal to an inteligent betrayer. Although intelligence affects your treatment to a person the most , honesty, courage & other qualities matter.

Yes. Always be extra-nice to smart people. They make lots of money and can help you get ahead in life.
