Anyone have any ideas for dinner tonight?

It's really hot here and I don't want to heat the kitchen up. All ideas welcome!

Thanks

Here is a simple idea that tastes delicious and requires no cooking. It will likely require a trip to the grocery store, but that's it.

    Greek Turkey

1 box - Purdue Short-Cuts Roast Turkey Medallions (or any other brand of pre-cooked turkey medallions)

16oz - Plain Yogurt (Greek Yogurt if available)

1/2 cup - Cucumber, chopped finely

6 - Garlic Cloves, chopped finely

    1 - Tablespoon Olive Oil

    2 - teaspoons Lemon Juice

First chop the cucumber and let strain for 1/2 hour. Combine with garlic, olive oil and lemon juice, then fold into yougurt in a large mixing bowl. Mix thoroughly. Serve over the turkey medallions. Goes great with a nice garden salad.

Second the chef's salad idea! Yum.

Actually, though, I have beef in the slow cooker now, trying out a new recipe for Swiss steak with coffee. At least I got to do the browning in the morning, before it got too hot.

    I am CLUELESS - hence I posted the exact same ? -

I am thinking - nothing! I am not thinking - I have no ideas!

Ideas to not heat up the kitchen: Crockpot cooking, and dutch oven style cooking! Or sometimes we cook outside - I have a dutch oven we take outside to fry up zucchini in

Chili con Carne, or how about Pate Chinois (shephard's pie)?

Chef's salads are great in hot weather!
