I have cable TV through them as well and it works FINE. Just my phone . I bought a new phone thinking that might help, it did not.

Long story short, my parents paid my attorney for my divorce.

Now my parents are trying to gain custody of my children.

Is this a breach of ethics for my attorney to have accepted $ from people who are trying to take my children from me?

My counselor has informed me if she is given a subpeona to appear in court she will charge $112/hour.

Is that normal practice?

23 months ago there was a car accident. I was injured, I spent thousands in medical bills (out of pocket; about 3K, maybe $3200)

We were reimbursed for the car being totaled & are awaiting "pain & suffering/medical" monies.

So i'm divorcing my husband, now before I'm reimbursed my money. I couldn't wait.

Does he have a right to my pain & suffering money?

He wasn't injured, he wasn't even in the car.

I ask b/c my "attorney" is his brother & my ILs are very afraid of me, and I think it seems very fishy if my husband is as poor as they claim he is...they asked me for money (I have no job & anything worth $ in the house he took)

A friend of mine had a car accident, she was the victim.

OK it was bad, car totaled and it frightened her children.

NO physical injuries, didn't even be seen by a DR.

The insurance company offered her "pain & suffering" money.

Is this how it works?
