Foster Youth Desiring Upper-Echelon Education?

I have been receiving e-mails from Harvard and Cornell on a regular basis about my possible admission. I am currently 16 years old, I am in state custody and I am no longer allowed to have contact with my parents willingly and through court order. I am now living with my girlfriend's family. I am a senior in High School and belong to a dual-enrollment program where I can take college classes full-time and still be a high school student legally. Since last semester I have been a full-time college student and all of my high school requirements for graduation have been met. I have taken and received college credit hours for these classes:

First Semester Junior Year:

Elementary Spanish I (SPA-111)

Pre-Calculus (MAT-171/172 Fastrack)

ACA-111 (College Equivalent of Freshman Seminar)

Honors Chemistry (HS)

Honors English III (HS)

Second Semester Junior Year:

Calculus I (MAT-271)

C++ Programming (CSC-134)

Elementary Spanish II (SPA-112)

Honors English IV

College Check-In

Pre-Cal Math Lab

Update:

Upcoming Year:

First Semester Senior Year:

Calculus II (MAT-272)

General Chemistry (CHM-151)

Applied Music I: Guitar

Peer Tutoring

Expository Writing (ENG-111)

Second Semester Senior Year:

Calculus III (MAT-273)

General Chemistry II (CHM-152)

College Physics (PHY-151)

Peer Tutoring II

Applied Music II: Guitar

I've maintained a 4.43 GPA and am currently number one in the class rank.

My question involves this, I was surfing the web trying to find financial aid information on foster youths and I learned that hardly ANY foster youths go to college. Most either drop out or don't continue after high school. I also learned that financial aid is minimal for foster youths. I filled out a FAFSA Profile and it still asked me for my mom's SSN even though I stated I was a ward of the state.

I REALLY DESIRE going to either of these two Ivy-League Schools, preferably Cornell since they have an extensive physics program. What are my chances of getting into either of these two schools

Update 2:

And how much financial aid do you think I would be eligible for?

You would qualify for maximum financial aid--you need to talk to the schools who are recruiting you. They may even offer you a free-ride scholarship that also covers living expenses. You are getting incorrect information. Many foster youth don't attend college because they are dropping through the system--don't be a statistic. You have a fabulous foundation in HS, and I hope you go far!

I don`t vital think that 25 is the magic quantity however I might like to peer extra performed to arrange foster youngsters for the arena earlier than they're ``reduce free``. Why 22 in order that they might conclude high school at 18 after which have four extra years for college? Or 20 if they just desire to take a two yr university software? I bet my factor is, I believe they might be larger served to be ready as participants and now not with a time period hooked up to them. Some is also rather ready for the arena at 18, a few might require longer and a few nonetheless would require for much longer...if ever. To set a point in time on it arbitrarily instead then have it as an person factor founded at the foster childs difficulty and cabilities simply has the competencies to inadvertently intent extra disorders I believe. The more thing I surprise approximately is your rivalry that emotional and mental offerings will have to be wholly included for adults getting older out of foster care considering the fact that of the trauma they've confronted. Well that sounds well as good, and I can`t argue with that at the floor, my query then turns into who can pay for the massive trauma that others face of their lifetime? I realize a lot of my comrades who're anguish massive traumas and emotional distresses over the problems they've obvious even as deployed in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Kosovo and Ruwanda. Nobody supplies them with care different then essentially the most fundamental of care even as they're enrolled within the CF nevertheless as soon as they're published as being undeserving they're on their possess. I see many critical crime sufferers who're additionally anguish with the bodily (in a few instances) and emotional stresses of the crimes towards them. The sufferers help price range and methods to be had inside the Province don`t virtually quilt what is needed for those men and women. While I don`t disagree that psych offerings and councelling offerings will have to be to be had, I believe that they will have to be to be had to all who want them, now not simply the ones within the foster methods.
