Well, how about little skulls with pink bow on the head on the thumbs? I saw that once, it was SO cute! My mom is a nail designer and she can come up with alot of designs. I can try and get some ideas for you.

Do you wanna know a secret? We are all terrible at applying nail polish in the beginning! Don't feel bad! I was horrible at first, but after applying it once a week for years and years, it becomes like second nature. Honestly though, I still get it on the sides of my fingers and the sides of my nails, you can never completely get it perfect. So always have some qtips on hand! they are saviors for misplaced nail polish! just dip it in nails polish remover and go around the nail to pick up any unwanted polish! ps- they also make pointy q-tips! they would be the best to use!

you could try doing your nail tips one colour, like pink and the rest of the nail black, fake nails might be easier if you wanted to do that. glitter nail polish on top or above a black or dark colour.. you could do black and then write LOVE on your 4 fingers in red, or smile.. just grab all your colours and start putting them together like putting the bottles next to each other and see what goes.. you could do stripes or spots, i suggest getting a nail design pen so you can do all the smalled designs.. and getting stars from a super market, or brightly colour spots..

some of my ideas:

swirls like a big swirl in black on bright pink background

try doin stripes vertical and horizontal in many different colors

write words such as l0ve hate your name anything

you could vene try fake nails you can get them in natruel size and are easier to work on as you can do the design before you stick them on

Try zebra stripes! They're my personal fav.

TO DO:

Do a nice, clean layer of white nail polish and let it dry. Do lots of layers until its pure white. Then dip a toothpick into the black and draw out the zebra stripes! It helps if you look at pics of them while drawing the stripes.

1.um how about black nial with yellow question marks on them.2.black nial polish with a pink heartbeat sign(like on the monitors that show your heartbeat rate.)3.black nail polish with white Skull And Crossbones .....well thats all i can think of at this moment.hope this helps. :)

ORRRR, the thumb a red star on black and the rest of the fingers stripes or stars if you can do that.

get stickers, like lightning strikes, cherries, stars, maybe silver, a bright neon green, bright yellows, baby blues, neon orange, purple, dark rich navy blues, a dark royal red,

polka dots of white or silver, etc. I like to paint my nails like that myself. Hope I helped answer your question!

Outline them in black and fill the middle in hot/neon pink. Or with any choice of colors:)
