Ancestory DNA?

I am interested in finding my DNA lineage on my father's side. I know you can do testing on your mother's side (if your a female); however a female cannot get paternal testing unless she's a man (she may use a male relative if related to her father. Here's my problem: I have never had a relationship with my father. How can I test my paternal side?

I think the only way to figure out your paternal lineage is through comparison. The only way to look at this lineage is through comparison with your father, I think. I may not be correct in this, but I am fairly sure. Good luck with whatever you do!
