Driving from manhattan to Shea

How long will it take for me to drive from the heart of Manhattan to Shea Stadium in Queens, presuming that there is typical NYC traffic.

No such thing as typical traffic, but if you can avoid the dead of rush hour it should take anywhere from 20-40 mins.

I have made Manhattan to Laguardia in under 15 mins, and Shea is right next door. But that was in optimal conditions.

The subway is a much better bet. The #7 train along 42d st goes right to the stadium in around a half hour or so.

You would probably spend close to that amount of time just parking the car. Traffic is bad enough when you know where you are going. If you are going to a game, that guarantees high traffic.

Plus the train is $2. Gas is $4.50 and parking will be $20 or so. Take the train.

    Don't drive to Shea Stadium.

Shea Stadium has limited space of parking spaces due to building of new stadium.

Best way will be (7) train and LIRR.

After every two-hour after game ended, Flushing Line offers MET Express on #7 line starting from Stadium, stopping at 74th, 61st, Queensboro Plaza, 45th Rd, then Manhattan.

don't bother. take the 7 all the way. but if you insist on driving, about 20 min unless it is rush hour, than 1 to 1 1/2 hours

Source(s): used to do the drive and train myself for years
