Is is possible to have to much flaxseed? I want to start adding it to my foods. Should I use it sparingly?

I know having too much of any food isn't good for you. But if I add it to all my cooking, will it be ok. Can I overdo it? I was just thinking about adding a teaspoon or two to whatever I can.

Flax seed is very good for you. A teaspoon or two will do nothing harmful and is in fact beneficial.

Too much flaxseed oil can cause diarrhea. Men with prostate cancer should avoid supplemantation with flaxseed oil and use ground seeds instead. Flaxseed ooil has a mild blood thinning effect, so check with dr. if on blood thinning meds.

Usual dosage is 1-2 tbsp a day or 8-12 capsules a day
