Recently when we had a 3 hour power-cut, I was most frustrated at the lack of an Internet connection - I cannot live without it.
A brief summary of what the Internet can do for you:
• Communication with all of your friends and family via e-mail, instant messaging, and voice/video calls - all of which are free.
• Instant reference for any topic - you can learn absolutely anything on the Internet, or use it for quick reference for anything you don't know - learn in as much or as little detail as you require.
• Entertainment from online videos, music, podcasts, blogs, etc.
• Get the latest news, reviews, weather etc. instantly
• Get the best bargains with online shopping - compare items and prices from millions of retailers online so you get the best product for the best price
• The ability to have your own say in things - write your own blog, make your own podcasts, make your own videos, share your photos with family, friends, or the world! Whatever you have to say, there are thousands of people who want to listen.
This is a brief summary of some of the things I do on the net. However, there are thousands of more things you could come up with that you can do on the Internet.
