What's best to see at Dollywood?

I have only 1 day, so what's best to do, and what to forget.

Are you talking about Dollywood in TN? If so, it's a theme park - so one day is really plenty - there are rides and shops and shows, places to eat, arts and crafts, you can even ride a train! It's GREAT!

*****I just answered a question just like this so if you don't mind, I have cross posted.*****

The coaster John is talking about is the Mystery Mine ( not Blazing Fury) and is really great. It took me 1 1/2 yrs. to work up the courage to ride it, so... but it is so worth it.

Thunderhaed, the wooden coaster, is great. It is a little jerky, but all wooden coasters are compared to steel. So worth riding. It has a drive-thru where you actually go through where people are in line!

The TN tornado is the other big coaster and it has 2 full loops and a 3rd spiral loop. Very fun. I love the feeling as you drop down from the loop--almost like floating! The fide is over very quickly though.

Dizzy disk is a must. Not only do you go around and around, but you also go back and forth on a U shaped platfrorm.

Most people think the Lemon Twist is a kiddie ride, but if get that thing turning fast enough, even the most avid thrill seeker will feel the effects. This is my favorite, although no one likes to ride it w/ me anymore because I like it to as fast as possible!!

Amother great ride is the Mountain Slidewider. You will most likely get wet, so prepare for that. You go down the mountain on a waterslide in a foam boat -that is really fun.

The Blazing fury is something to experience. It is an indoor coaster. It doesn't go very fast but is neat. Definetly check it out.

River battle is fun if the line isn't too long, as is the Sky Rider. The Rampage is also fun.

These are the ones I would most defitely try to ride. There are other fun rides, but sometimes you can only fit a few in, and these would be my picks. The park has gotten so big, it is hard to fit it all in one day. Also, my advise is to pack a lunch and go out to your car and eat, then return back to the park. (You get a hand samp) Otherwise you will likely spend $10-12 a person for a burger and fries, corndog, pizza, fajita or the sort.
