Do you really need to pre-cal math before you take a chemistry 1

    Most of the math in Chemistry is basic algebra. Like someone else mentioned, there are some logarithms, but if you have gotten up to Algebra 2 you should be good to go.

    At my high school, I guess Trigonometry and Analytical Geometry was the equivalent of pre-calculus, and I haven't used any of it since then. There is a bit of calculus in upper division chemistry in college, but that is it.

    Edit: Even at a college level, introductory Chemistry only has algebra and logs. However, if they require you to take pre-calc before taking Chemistry, then there really isn't a way around it.

    nott really

    theres something that involved logs in chem but it was pretty basic

    btw chem sucks youll want it to end quickly
