Aw breathe in and out for a couple of minutes.

I know it's hard and this sounds like he's one stubborn little boy.

The best way to potty train a child is to reward them and offer them praise. Get him to sit on the potty after having a drink or something to eat, until he goes. When he does praise him and tell him what a big boy he is. Tell him now he has to be a big boy for the baby, and he will be the big brother that will teach the baby. (That always works as it gives them a sense of responsibility and they feel proud of them self). When he does use the potty give him a small reward such as a yoghurt pop, and as he trains himself distance the rewards over a couple of days, so there is a big reward at the end (such as a toy.) I know it's hard but toddlers become dry in there own time. Praise is the only way to go, otherwise it can cause the child to feel uncomfortable and he may do things like wee on your couch.

    Keep trying and Goodluck!

    Hope I helped :)

OK FIrst calm down. Try this. Buy some cheerios or fruit loop type cereal. Take him into the potty and put about 4 or 5 in the toilet tell him if he hits one or two then he can have a treat!! It is a fun game I used with my 5 year old when he was training. He is a real game player and now fully potty trained he will dance and hold himself in order to prolong the game or tv watching or eating so he doesn't have to go pee!! I t really worked with him so good luck! Sometimes kids know when we are pregnant and the pending "NEW KID" may be causing him some stress. If you act like you are mad at him and treat him like he is pissing you off then it will only make things worse.

I had the same problem with potty training until I did up a rewards chart. Each time she did something in the toilet she got a gold star and than she got a treat (make a really big deal about it) . Worked wonders in just 1 month she wasn't even wearing nappys to bed. She is now 4 years old and not 1 accident...

Its only piss. Be kind. Why will you be damned if you buy him any pull up pants? Do you think he wants to do it? I'm sure you've scared him enough he wouldn't do it if he could stop it . When it just happens. This doesn't look good from where I'm sitting. You're already putting forward a preference for a six week foetus over this boy. No. It don't look too good. Glad you're not my stepmother.

I wish I could tell him that it happens to a lot of children. Don't suppose you'll tell him that?

i think maybe if you praise him and tell him how he is a big boy for going to the toilet like his daddy and just try and make it a little bit fun for him. also i would just remind him as often as possible, if he hasnt gone for a while and still says he dosent need to take him anyway. also i would not buy pull ups just put undies on him cause most kids dont like the feeling of being wet.

be patient...be very patient....he will get the hang of it, it just takes time, just keep what you are doing with taking him every half hour. kids will make all kinds of accidents with potty training...it just comes with the job. but dont buy pullups...they are pretty much the same as diapers. i didnt use them with my son and i think he got the hang of potty training faster then he would have if i did use pull ups...my opinion though. just have cleaning supplies and paper towels handy, you will need them. keep practicing with kid underwear on too...you will be doing alot of laundry, but that also comes with the job. good luck and just remember...try to be patient.

my 3 yr old is completely potty trained however he has just learned how to stand and pee he takes great pleasure in peeing on the side of my babies crib I think they like the stand and spray so wht we do is make him clean it up.This seems to be working because the last time he peed on something was about 2 weeks ago.

Your gonna need to adjust YOUR attitude!! For you to even have to mention that he is your step son demonstrates how little how little you care about him, and that you are putting your interests ahead of his.
