what is a limited class b misdemeanor?

I wrote a check right before I moved and closed my account, I thought it was all taken care of, and today after 4 months I got a letter to appear in court that I was being charged.

I am a nurse and dont want to lose my ability to work because of this, its really stupid.

go to the district attorneys office. most of the time they will clear this matter up before appearing in court with out jail time. several people have been brought to jail over 10 dollar checks because of a warrant, just pay the fees associated with the check and you will be alright. you will not loose your ability to work, at least you shouldnt
