Partitioning hard drive. Vista 64 bit installed. Want to install XP 32 bit

I have windows vista 64 bit installed on my laptop. I want to partition my hard drive and install Windows XP 32 bit on the new partition. Is there any way for me to partition my hard drive without formatting it?

Is it possible to install a 32 bit operating system on a 64 bit processor?

You don't need to download any extra software, Vista has a partition software included. To find it do the following:

    Click Start > Control Panel

Search "partition" in your control panel (in the search bar) and your Disc Management will show up.

Here you can Split, Create, Edit (and format if you want) but you won't need to format if the sectors are untouched.

    And yes x86 (32Bit) can be installed in a x64 (64Bit) system.

Download the program "Partition Magic" and then youll be able to create a seperate partition for the new operating system and yes it is completely possible to run a 32 bit operating system on a 64 bit processor :)

just partition your drive and everything will be fine, no formating needed. not sure about the 32 bit os on 64 bit cpu.
