make sure your verizion router is very close to the device that you are using internet on,for example a PC.
If it still isnt working check for a wireless switch (usually located at the side or front of the PC)

Try using Custom settings and input the IP Address information manually. Also try resetting the modem / router. If it doesn't work after that, it could be due to the open / no security connection. Best to have some type of security which the recommended security is WPA/WPA2.
