Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Your recent changes to Yahoo Answers seem to have resulted in the inability of many people to submit questions

that include or - signs. Could you please look into this and correct it?

There seems to be a current problem with some special symbols within an answer. I know it occurs with a percent sign. Try spelling out any special symbols. You can then go back and edit the answer and change them back to the actual symbol.

I have notified Yahoo in the suggestion forum.

I kept getting the "taking a breather page" every time I tried to post an answer. Not sure what the reason was. Will try to remove exclamation points and percent signs and see if the post will fly.

If YA is going to prevent a post from showing up as an answer wouldn't it be nice it YA told you why they denied the post?

    Follow-up.

I removed a percent sign and a couple exclamation marks and the post went through. Seems kind of dumb to hold up a post for a few punctuation marks!
