I just found a new site that I love for my class website. It is called wikispaces. Just type wikispaces into the Google search engine. The site is free for teachers. It takes a little time and patience to get the hang of it, but they do offer several tutorials (which I highly reccommend watching before you begin). Also, you can try schoolnotes.com. It's also free, and it's extremely easy to use, but doesn't have nearly the bells and whistles that wikispaces has. Depends on the type of time you have to put into it on the front end. Good Luck!

There are plenty of website hosting pages that will offer free space to teachers. The problem is that you want to find one that has no advertising. This is more rare than you think for free pages.

I have tried quite a few and have found blogger to be the simplest option. I only use it to list homework and various other assignments so it works for me. If you need something more robust - i leave it to other posters.

I've used Web Wizard. This allows you to create a web page with links to other internet sources. Students are also able to create posters online and then submit them.

You can use tripod, which on the basic level is free and only adds .tripod.com to your page (and your URL is what your username is so if you want to be "class123" when you make an account you must type in your username to be "class123" which will make your whoel URL http://class123.tripod.com")/

Tripod is pretty easy to use and setup becuase it has simple buttons for doing things, and you don't have to use HTML, but you can if you want.
