Why won't my answer post?
I tried to answer a question, and when I clicked on the submit button a page came up that indicated that Yahoo Answers was taking a breather. I tried the same question 4 times, same result. During that time I was able to answer 5 other questions with no problem. Was this a snag, or is the asker blocking me? By the way, the asker is a new account with only that question asked.

There seems to be a current problem with some special symbols within an answer. I know it occurs with a percent sign. Try spelling out any special symbols. You can then go back and edit the answer and change them back to the actual symbol.
TO TECHNICAL MEMBERS: Using the HTML entity for the special symbol seems to get around the problem. For example % for a %.

No, it is just Yahoo! Answers with their glitches and problems occurring is all. Yahoo! Answers did the same thing to me, when I tried to type in my answer as well, and Submit it but all that came up was the same thing that happened to you. Yahoo! Answers will need to be fixing them and refreshing the pages that haven't worked, so if it doesn't work again, just try to skip it and move on to another question it isn't worth, just answering for nothing.

did you try to put any math symbols in your answer? The taking a breather thing appears if you try to include a percent symbol in your answer, as well as a few others. If you have any symbols, try removing them from your answer and that may help.

That sometimes happens to me too. I think answers has a few snags than need to be ironed out still.

no its ok its just a glitch happened to me yesterday and the day bnefore the only way for u to answer is to wait til tomorw thats what i did and now i can answer its fine just a glitch ur not getting suspended or anything =] hope i helped

Yeah, that happens 2 me sometimes too... I'm not sure why, but it always happens to a question you really really really wanna answer. I'm thinking it might be just a glitch .

this always happened to me. Sometimes it is when you have a link to another site on your answer. when you take off the link and submit it goes through.

For me, its' the opposite. I can answer questions but not ask them! Arghh, I hope this gets fixed up soon.

thats what happened 2 me twice 2 day idk y tho i refreshed it a couple times but i still couldnt post it, but now i dont have a prob. hopefully ull b able 2 post soon tho
