Piles of wood in Vail, CO?
Driving through Vail, Colorado last week, we saw a lot of piles of wood stacked up like teepees on the hillsides. What are they for?

They are for burning after the snow comes. With all the dead trees from the spruce spiders and beetle kill they have to do something with the dead trees.
Better a controlled burn of a bunch of piles than out of controll forest fires.

WHOA saw the same thing on my recent trip to Yosemite...but I thought it had to do with the fires there.
Now I'm even more confused.
