help with my sony ericsson walkman cell phone

I bought this phone around Christmas last year then two months ago the screen went black. The company said it sounded like water damage & they sent me a "new" replacement which was exactly like the one I shipped back to them. Well only two weeks after getting the replacement the new phone is messed up too! The screen is black and theres a red light inside the phone that flashes each time I try to power the phone on or off. I know it's not a problem with the battery because I've charged it for 24 hours at a time. Does anyone have any suggestions? I don't want to send this one back in if there's a simple solution for this. PLEASE HELP!
