What do you think today´s Haskell win says about Big Brown?

I keep seeing it said that his terrible Belmont performance is a big mystery. Is it a given that his dangling shoe was the cause of his Belmont trip, or not? I was at that race, at the rail at the finish line, and could see from where I stood all the way as they came around the track that he was running strangely-his two rear legs hitting the ground in an off-stride, 2 beat manner.. Halfway thru the race KD pulled him up hard, and he veered almost to the far side of the track, but still struggled to run and galloped past me dead last. As soon as the photos of the shoe came out, it made perfect sense given what I had seen, but didn´t know why it had happened. Thoughts? Thanks..

Well I think Big Brown found some heart, if you see again the Haskell you'll notice than about the 3 furlong mark KD start to ask him with the whip,he didn't respond imedietly, a mean untill the 1f mark he dig deeper and found a way to catch Coal Play, imagine if KD started to ask with the whip in the Belmont, maybe he doesn't win but he finish better, I think BB just had a bad day at the Belmont, there ct be alot of excuses like the weather (too much sun), the shoe, the fact that he didn't train well, a bad ride, etc. I also think he's back and the connections should try synthetic in his next start (like the Mass Cup, or the Goodwood at SA park, because of the fact that the BC is run at SA.
