What's with Yahoo repeatedly blocking my answer with their coffee breaks?

I answered the same question (re Alan Paton's "Cry, the Beloved Country") four times, over the course of four hours, and each time got notified they were on coffee break when I went to submit it! I'm frustrated, aggravated and fed up! I would imagine the person who asked the question, who's had no replies, may be a tad frustrated as well.

Update:

Arisu: I put it in Books & Authors for the benefit of the person who posted the question. They have 0 answers, and 4 or 5 hours later, won't likely get any.

Bro and Maliboo: Thanks so much for confirming my suspicions, and for the suggestions. Maybe I'll try again.

Update 2:

Maliboo: Found the original question eighteen pages in the past, wrote out in full two numbers and one percent sign in my answer, and NO coffee break! (It's kind of like having to know the secret handshake.)

Here is why they've coffee breaked me. Too many percent signs. (LOL, they didn't like when I just put one in the previous sentence and did it to me.)

I was answering a question with statistics, and the percent signs were necessary but yahoo didn't like them. I had to go in and write out percent like a zillion times. Also, if I've put other symbols, like two dollar signs, next to each other, same thing. Very annoying.

So take out as many symbols as you can. Works for me.

Jallan - You must be special, because it doesn't like certain symbols I put in at all! Consistently. Could it be it doesn't like my firefox browser?

Almost all software has to be updated at some time or other. And if those working on it want to improve it, they must test their changes.

What do you expect from a very popular and very large website, that it be be up and running constantly. Even Google goes down occasionally.

Just copy your answer to Notepad or some other editor or Word Processor. If you are currently in the mood to work on Yahoo! Answers and you can’t put your answer down now, then save it somewhere and put it down later. You can work in this fashion for as long as you need to.

As to % signs not being accepted: % %% %%% %%%‰ A% B% C% D% and so forth. Don't be paranoid. They aren’t being removed, at least now.

Perhaps that was a problem, and fixing it was one reason the site wasn’t saving answers.

Yeah, I've been getting that on almost every answer I try to give and it's been going on for days. VERY ANNOYING! I usually click left arrow - go back - then submit again repeat repeat repeat but it sometimes takes 15 minutes to finally get the answer to go through.

AND they call this new and improved!

Did you also notice AVATARS are not working either?

No offense, but this question shouldn't be in Books and Authors, but i agree, that would get me frustrated as well.

Your answer triggered their version of "net nanny" to block you out. Their 'coffee break' is really a censor. Hail to Big Brother Yahoo.
