What are the main differences between worms and small, non-venomous snakes?

It looks like a freaking fishing worm! Why is it a snake?

    The snakes are scaly and backboned and you'll feel the bite and a worm will wiggle.

    Snakes are reptiles they have a backbone. worms don't.
