muffins stuck to paper patty pans
i am not much of a cook, but today i made muffins and i used patty pans in my muffin tray, but the paper has stuck to the muffins and wont peel off, what did i do wrong?
I have tried to peel the paper off but its inpossible! I thought the whole idea of useing the paper patty pan was so the tray would'nt get so dirty.

Its supposed to be a little stuck. But I think it would be better you cut up some wax paper squares and use them instead. it would look so much better too.

Just peel the paper away. You maybe should have used a muffin tray with a little cooking oil spray.
Don't worry about it. If it takes you 30 more seconds to peel the paper away, it is still all worth it in the end. yum!

If the muffins are still warm when you remove the paper liner, the muffin will probably stick. You can do one of 2 things. Wait until the muffins are completely cooled, or spray a very small amount of Pam or similar non-stick baking spray onto a paper towel and wipe the muffin liner with it. I'd advise against actually spraying the Pam onto the liner itself, because too much will invariably come out and the liner will be soaked. You only need a tiny amount.

I am not sure what you did wrong but i think spraying is better than using patty papers. Try next time using cooking spray and I find that works alot better. Although I occasionally use papers ans they dont stick so I am not sure what you did wrong but try spray...

I normally just put a bit of oil or butter on the inside of the patty pans which helps them to be removed easier.

Hi pinkey
I would suggest dont make your mixture too wet
for muffins you need a reasonably dry mix so they will rise quickly and cook quickly
use eggs as a moisture instead of milk or water
good luck and enjoy

Next time you should have 3 spray of a cooking oil in muffin tray.
Just don't make it greasy, too much spray.

That sometimes happens if you use an inexpensive brand I just spray them with a little PAM they make a special spray for baking. Try this and good luck
