Need fun idea during golf tournement
We will held a company golf tournement soon and I need some fun idea on different holes but not the usual one (Longest drive, closest to the cup, etc.). I would love new idea and preferably, things that do not favor good players as we will have a majority very weak players.

Here's a list I've seen:
Closest to hole on second shot
Shortest drive
Longest Put
Straightest Drive with lined fairway
Marshmallow Long Drive
Bounce the ball your wedge competition/ team competition at tee box
Longest shot with off hand (have lefty club for those right handed)

I played in a charity event once that had a really strange one.
Each person would have to try to hit a shot into a bucket, swinging with the wrong hand. So, a rightie would have to swing left-handed, and a leftie would have to swing right-handed.
You can probably adapt it to a closest-to-the-pin, or set up a target, or something like that. The really funny part was swinging the wrong way!
There was someone stationed at the tee-box of a par three hole with a left and right pitching wedge. I think we used the plastic practice golf balls.
Since we usually had to wait to tee off on the par 3, it didn't really take any extra time.

You should do the usual ones for the better players along with different fun ones.
How about have all of the par 3s closest to pin, this means more chances for everybody if they mis-hit on the par 3.
You can have closest to the line, where you put a rope down the fairway and the person who hits the closest to the line wins.
You could get everybody to write down in their groups the best things that happen in the round so for example:
4-Ball - Player A, B, C and D
A gets a chip in. So write down player A chipped in from 30yards or where ever.
Player B later on hits somebody with his ball. Write it down.
Player D hits the ball behind him from a rebound off a tree. Write it down on what hole etc.
At the end take them all in and see what funny and good stuff happened. Then give awards away for them.
So worst shot, Best Chip, Worst Drive, Shortest Shot.
The problem is with having a shortest drive where you tell people, it sort of defeats the object of the game. So having it where people nominate and write down shots from the game, any awards can be given for anything that may happen.

You can have mystery holes, where you just tell people to mark down on a score sheet kept at each of those holes where the ball landed. Later, you can reveal who wins the hole. One hole have the SHORTEST drive. Another, have FURTHEST from the pin, etc. On one hole, have the golfers put on a pair of blacked out glasses, and see who can hit it the straightest.
Have fun!

How about straightest or highest or farthest "Happy Gilmore" swing.
Hope this helps!
