Why Is It That??????

I'm sure they have plenty of excuses. The fact is that NO human behavior can be considered "unnatural." We are all a part of nature, and by definition that means our actions cannot be "unnatural."

Sexuality is not a black and white issue. It's one big spectrum with people landing on various points.

Those people that claim that being gay or lesbian is a choice are normally religious fundamentalists.

They don´t care about anything that science says if it contradicts their holy book/s or their religious concept.

Homosexuality is an abomination, the holy book/s says so, therefore it must be a choice and can, with strong enough faith (into their religion) be overcome with the result being a "normal" straight person.

Anyone who doesn´t think so (or even calls homosexuality normal) is either openly lying or deceived oftenby Satan (or whatever entity that opposes their divine entity) .

I think that should come close enough to their mindset and therefore you can present tons of evidences for homosexuality being a hereditary trait (and something you find as normal behavior in nature) and won´t convince them ;)

My stance - Even if people are born homosexual or heterosexual, that alone does NOT determine whether the person will actually be homosexual or heterosexual. I disagree with anyone that says they can't change who they are. I've done research by asking people if they have or know anyone who has acted against, on their own free will (that's to say not persuaded or threatened to do so), how they were born. Many said yes. You can search through my Q&As to find these if you wish.

To say it is unnatural is to say there's something wrong with it. The only thing I could possibly see wrong with it is it doesn't lead to evolutionary progress (no offspring) so the trend will die off eventually.

Straight people just find it hard for people to like the same sex- we don't understand how they can feel this way -since we don't- I have a gay friend and he was not "born" gay and I have a friend (girl) that acted like a boy ever since she was born, was she born gay? who knows?? it is not up to us to judge these people- they have been good friends to me and are always there if I need there help- I am not gay-

the same sex does not turn me on- now if you read the bible it is a sin and you will be punished for being gay- so that is between them and thier God.

The American Psychological Association also claim that homosexual sex between a minor and an adult is okay, they have openly supported NAMBLA (Google it). As to why heterosexuals consider homosexuality to be unnatural, perhaps you should consider the definition of "natural" and compare it to the male/female sexual organs. ;-)

...or at the very least, more gay than usual. The groundbreaking research of Dr. Alfred kinsey demonstrated that very few people are 100% straight or gay.

And further research has demonstrated that an inordinate number of "anti-gay" Christians actually have latent homosexual tendencies.

Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. It goes against the created order of God. He created Adam and then made a woman. This is what God has ordained and it is what is right. Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation.

No, i don't believe that people are born gay. I think that it's an enviroment thing. Like with heteosexuals, a man will like a certain girl or women will like certain man because of whatever reason or experience they've had. it's an evviroment thing not a genetic thing.

And for those who claim homosexuality to be a serious sin, did you think about wearing clothing made of only ONE material?

Leviticus 19:19 "Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee."

What about getting haircuts?

Have you also taken into account that the bile has been used to justify slavery, the oppression of blacks and women, and the torture of the mentally ill? "Christians" considered all these types of people sinful at one time.

ALSO, the bible didn't mention homosexuality (in its original texts). This is because homosexuality was not understood. The exts in Leviticus and Romans were used to condemn idol rituals where people would have sex for worship of the idols. Among the practices were when 2 men had sex which was supposedly to guarantee an abundance of wealth. Leviticus and Romans were referring to those rituals.

The 2 passages that mention the word "homosexual" directly is a translation error since no ord was parallel to the word homosexual in biblical times. The word in Greek "arsenokoitoi" actually translates as "male bedders". It was assumed that this meant "homosexual" because it was thought to mean "males who have sex with other males". Records showing this word elsewhere point that "male bedders" were actually women who seduced men into sex (i.e. prostitutes).

The fact that the Jews thought of a word for EVERY SIN they could think of, but didn't have a word for "homosexual" is saying something!

Homosexuals were always said as "men who lie with men" or "women who lie with women" there was no specific word for it, despite how strict the Jews were to think of a word for every sin they could think of.

The story of Sodom and Gomorrah is NOT a condemnation of homosexuality. We know this because God planned on destroying the city BEFORE the men allegedly wanted to rape the men in the house. That is why the angels were sent to the family in the house BEFORE the men allegedly wanted sexual relations with the men in the house.

Besides, the story of Sodom is brought up at least several times AFTER Genesis. Homosexuality is NEVER even hinted at!

Here is one of the verses that refers to Sodom:

“And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgement, than for that city.” Mark 6:11.

Yes that is Jesus speaking. If homosexuality was a sin as Christians say it is, Jesus would have clearly stated that the sin of sodom is homosexuality.

Amazingly Jesus never mentions homosexuality. He mentioned a scenario of a heterosexual relationship and many say that he is saying that only heterosexual relationships are acceptable. However I believe that if homosexuaity was as much of a sin as Christians consider it to be, Jesus would NOT hae danced around the subject and would mention it DIRECTLY, but he never does.

I know it's hard to get rid of the things that mommy and daddy taught you about the bible, but it does have serious fallacies and errors. Since true christians are about truth, and the bible contains errors, TRUE christians cannot base all their views on the bible.

Jesus taught that the bible is for guidance and was never meant to be used to teach fear, intolerance, hatred, or negative feelings.

The ones that bothered Jesus the most were the extremely religious.
