Find the maximum or minimum of the following quadratic function: y = 16^x2 40x 25

    y = 16x^2+ 40x + 25

    The sign before the 16 is positive, so it's a parabola with a minimum. The x coordinate of the minimum is:

    x=-b/2a=-40/32=5/4=-1.25

    If you fill that in, you get y=0

    so the coordinates are (1.25, 0)

    y = 16x² + 40x + 25 -->Vertex V = (- 1.25 ; 0) --> Min: (- 1.25 ; 0)
