You have to choose but stick to low fat,low cal, sugar free foods.Don't eat the protein bars, look at the sugarts,,there is a protein drink that should be available at healthfood stores. One was called 1895 suppliment. It may not be available at your store, but there are others.Eat a large helping of veggies. I do this, 2 cans of sweet sue broth, chicken or beef, boil turnips(they aren't that bad)cut fine, a potato, can of peas, carrots, diced, any others you like and brown a pound of stew meat, low fat,. this will give you taste, protein, and energy.

calories dont matter, its the carbs that phuck you up, you have to eat after exercise because you need to put yout body in anabolic state, so that it rebuilds muscle, making you lose fat too, you eat before workout to have the energy to workout, and then you eat like 30 min after workout to prevent muscle loss, Im a bodybuilder and what I do is eat 40min before workout, just a small low fat meal, and then right after workout I down a protein shake and then 30mins later I eat some meat with cheese and some veggies, all low fat and low carb foods

Well, I'm a college student so I usually eat in the cafeteria...But before I workout, I usually ate vegetable and/or a medium salad. Because you don't want to eat heavy such as bread or meat, because you'll just burn off what you ate. And then afterward, eat meat and very few carbs or sweets.
