Cichlid SAND substrate??? please help..
Is really fine white sand good for African Cichlids?
I just bought 3 bags and they're called Super Natural Marine Sand.
Its really fine and I just wanted to know if its alright for African Cichlids.
The pH of the water around where I live is high, so I don't think I need any grind coral to buffer the water.

After looking up the sand you mentioned, it is inert and will not affect the water in any way (it wouldn't matter if it did). Sand is great for any Cichlid, but expect digging. Make sure you have any decorations placed directly on the bottom glass, NOT sitting on the sand, as this often leads to collapse as the fish undermine their stability.

AH....yet another sand person!! like it. For upkeep: a million) even as siphoning (the conventional siphon offered from the shop), dont dig the siphon into the sand, because it is going to %. up the sand, in basic terms siphon a million/2 - a million inch faraway from the exterior. this may %. up the debre yet no longer the sand. 2) very last important aspect to keep in mind is accessible gas trapped interior the sand. So once you're doing upkeep, both use a stick or a finger to gentally move the sand round to launch any trapped gas (which will be risky to the fish). So its really straightforward, and kit smart, you want to get your self a siphon and thats it. best of luck
