What is enlightment?

Enlightenment is the realization that you really know nothing, that you need nothing, and your life is meaningless.

Once you reach this point you then need to create meaning by serving the rest of existence, which is really what you are.

A lot of people may think they are enlightened, but are not. Someone who is enlightened will never claim to be.

Someone who is enlightened is selfless, and will love everyone equally. They are in complete control of their emotions in the sense that they simply observe them and not let the emotion control their actions.

That's the best I can manage, although I know it's not really complete, since I am not enlightened. The other problem with enlightenment, is that to properly understand it you need to be enlightened too. :)

Enlightenment really means that YU have FOUND

' the ONE ' inside yirrSELF and YU operate from that

Consciousness consistently.

Mostly, such People TEACH others HOW 2 git there.

Enlightenment is about sharing Enlightenment.

Tho Jesus was a Highly Enlightened God - Man

it is not commonly used in Christianity.

Largely because the Bible Authors say little about

the Life of Christ prior to His being a World Teacher.

Eastern Religions more commonly mention the word Enlightenment largely because it comes to those who have spent MANY SEASONS developing a relationship

w/ GOD or ' the ONE ' through Deep Prayer & Meditation on the Supreme Source of Existence.

Here are 2 basic definitions:

So, true enlightenment comes rfrom learning what the truth is, especially in matters concerning our relationship with our Creator, what his requirements are for his followers, & his purpose for us...

Sorry, I couldn't resist. The word is "enlightenment" and you would be best served just doing a search on it and getting the definition than asking about it here.

1- Enlightenment in the area of RELATIONSHIP with the supreme which includes knowing oneself as pure spirit soul separate from the body and know one self as subordinate to the supreme self God.

2. Enlightenment in the area of EXECUTION of one's duty after knowing one's relationship with the supreme self.

3.Enlightenment in the area of SUPREME GOAL OF LIFE which is improvement of the second enlightenment of duty to love.

only enlightened people can answers your question.....i dont think there are many such people remaining ....at least you wont find them at yahoo answers
