How come people are too scared to actually list some contradictions in the Bible?

A little research goes a long way…

Just Googled, “Contradictions in the Bible” right now and got some 1.3 million hits (to be fair, many are refuting the contradiction claims)

Few (religious or not) would disagree that the old book is full of contradictions (I’m pretty sure that most seminary studies courses even discuss this). The issue usually concerns the interpretations of the passages involved (i.e. which ones should be “believed”).

My first 2 references list (perceived) inaccuracies, my second 2 list apologies.

Oh isn't it funny how they scream that the Bible has been altered to fit what we want it to and that it couldn't possibly be true because it has been written over so many years and has been lost in translation...well then, if it has been re-written over the years, why do such "contradictions" that they claim still exist? Don't get me wrong, everything in the Bible doesn't match up just so and they may be a few contradictions.

But again, doesn't the fact that there are still these contradictions prove that the Bible is true in being the Bible, the written word of God? The Atheist proves himself wrong on one point by trying to prove another point.

And the first example given by "You Little freaks!" is wrong. The verse in Proverbs is talking about the people who rejected God and wisdom, not all people. The verse in Matthew then talks about the people who actually earnestly look for God will find him, not evildoers who have rejected God. The second verse in Proverbs talks about people who love God. You can't take half a verse like that, you have to read the whole verse and the whole passage to get the actual meaning.

So I see a contradiction in his answer about contradictions.

The second example that he gives is much more complicated. But scholars believe that the reason James said this is because that the OT stories left out the true cause of temptation, the devil.

There aren't any contradiction, all though you are going to get a few people to list what they think are contradictions. But if you know the Word of God, if you know God, then you will know that there are no contradictions.

It takes a person to have God's wisdom to understand.

God is to be found by those who seek him

God tempts men

Gen 22:1/ 2 Sam 24:1/ Jer 20:7/ Matt 6:13

God tempts no man

i am more interested in the fact that the bible advocates rape, slavery and murder.

how can people say there are no contradictions? LOOK they are right there..

How approximately while jesus suggested the mustard seed is the smallest seed. it is not. The smallest seeds regular to guy staggering now are the Nicotiana seeds or maybe the Lobelia 'Crystal Palace' seeds. If Jesus have been god, does not he have regular this?
