Non-Broadway Lion King on stage?

Is there any stage version of The Lion King for community theater?

One that isn't like, elaborate broadway African style?

I can only find information about it being on Broadway.

If there isn't a non-broadway version, there should be.

Update:

answer to 1st answer:

I just mean there should be a version that can be done in children's theater.

like for instance, there is a 101 dalmations broadway jr. show.

I think the broadway version is very cool. But itt would not be possible for children's theater/small community theater to do it the way that it is on broadway.

My question wasn't intended to be offensive and if you thought it was a dumb question then i guess you shouldn't have answered it. I don't really appreciate the rather rude response.

Update 2:

Excuse me, upon re-reading your answer, i see i was mistaken. It was not a rather rude response. It was an EXTREMELY rude response.

Update 3:

answer number 2:

I figured there wasn't one since i couldn't find info on it. But I wish there was.

I realize that a big part of the broadway version is that they take advantage of the African setting and make it a cultural experience. I don't think it would be weird for there to be a non-broadway version though, that was based more off the movie, and more kid friendly. It could easliy be colorful, like the movie. It would just have to be different from the Broadway version. I think it would make a good musical for community theater to do. There are plenty of disney broadway juniors based off of animated movies. But like i said, based more off the movie and not like the Broadway version.

Thank you for your more dignified response.

    I don't think there is.

The person above me is right in a way, just not so rude.

The Broadway version has an all-African cast who can sing in that language. Plus some of the ranges are a little high for kids in the chorus parts.

I mean, it would be possible to do a junior version of it. I think if you had some very colorful costumes and a background with a sunrise on it (like the Broadway background) it could be possible. the chorus can act as plants (again, like the musical) and for the other animals there could be hats that look like the animals and sleeves with spots on them or something like a leopard.

LOL. Well, there may be a non-broadway style LK production, but it is DEFINITELY African style- since the movie was based in an African enviroment, and has African culture. If your asking about a cheap remake of LK that has no African culture in it, then my friend, you should create one. In my opinion- there's no need to drag that movie/play out any more- it's already been extremely overdone. Maybe just watch a different play, since you obviously can't appreciate the classics? How about High School Musical? That play lacks culture and meaning! I'm sure you'd enjoy it.
