Anyone other than myself notice a LOT of pastin' bein' done with the same response? Goes somethin' like this ~

"I found this awesome website and you can find out more information to your question" and so on and so on... Maybe it got past me but, is Yahoo given' out $ for them points? Oooooonly in jest but, still am curious ta' see if I'm the only body ;) ;) ;)???

Update:

Kinda' see what the 1st three responders are conveyin' ie., seems to be a never endin' thing ~ now there be another one but, this individual gives a link that the computer will not recognize. Darn, them YA points are really a BIG thing for sommmme ppl...

Update 2:

flounderbytes,

I myself am guilty of pastin' information on my responses but, like yourself and many others there is an absolute, honest sincerity in givin' the best advice I/we can pass on to other ppl. Must add, at times that pastin' can make it a LOT more understandable to them, then I can ;)!X!@!%! My participation in Answers is only ta' help others out with what limited knowledge I have regardin' fishin' butttt, as are many, I too am still a learner and enjoy the H _ _ l outta' hearin' new ideas/concepts and the things that got past me over the years.

To reiterate, "Yahoo givin' buck$ for them points"? Ta' double reiterate, "Only jestin' " ;) ;)...

Yes! I've noticed it, but what do i do now? i ignore them, Ive stopped reporting them because i simply don't have time for them, advertisers will try anything they can sell a product/website/service, even if it means breaking the dreaded "community guidelines" lol

    *IMPORTANT*

The link that is given on its own that the PC will not recognize and usually has the words answers in it followed by a series of numbers is a link to a site full of viruses and spyware, do not click on it! see below, link to suggestion board where the matter was highlighted.

I agree with you Fish. I have been noticing this occurrence more frequently. If cold pasting is the only form of answer a person can give why waste your time on this forum. I started answering here due to some really hack answers to some legitimate questions that was forwarded to my attention by an angler just starting out. I myself have asked questions here because we have some very knowledgeable anglers on this site and I have received excellent advice on flyfishing. I did notice one answer that was prepared, saved and pasted. However, it was written by an angler knowledgeable in the sport of flyfishing and imparted information relevant to my (and others) questions. I answer on the basis of past experience or I pass on the question. I also direct some anglers to the free report on the flounderbytes site when it is a relevant answer to their fishing question. I wrote it and I posted it up free to help people get started in the right direction. The information would be too long to paste here.

That is all over the Y!A site. Most of the links I have seen direct the user to a site that immediately starts to attempt loading them up with adware or spyware.

I have reported several of them and yesterday sent emails to the hosting company and registrar of one site. I think they have found that their web hosting has been canceled because of it.
