What is your opinion on Saurav Ganguly as a cricket player?

He's a legendary cricketer, the best ever captian in the history of Indian Cricket.

Some people like him, some don't, but there's one quality special in him, that is no one can IGNORE him & he's always discussed.

Let people criticise him, that won't affect his greatness!

Sourav Ganguly was a great cricketer-an elegant batsman, useful medium pacer, and an outstanding skipper. He was the cricketer with nerves of steel, and has never ever given up, no matter what the circumstances are. His comeback is arguably the best one in the entire cricket history, and he is mentally one of the toughest guys in cricket.

Ganguly is the player, who has been wronged too many times. His aggressive temperament earned him respect and hatred at the same time. One thing is for certain-the selectors can take Ganguly out of cricket, according to their whims but they can't ever take cricket out of Ganguly. No one will ever be able to eradicate this man's contribution to Indian cricket.

Although iam a Pakistani but i admire him too much, he was a great player of his time not only in batting but also bowling (his Sahara cup performances) and fielding (his catch of Saeed Anwar 194), He is the player who plays with so much devotion to his country one can see this in his body language, i still remember his innnings at Dhaka where India chased 315 against Pakistan he was superb in that innings. In my point of view he is the best batsmen India has ever produced even far damaging to the oponent than Tendulkar and Yuvraj.

Dada is truly a legend, he is one of the best captains of India! I admire him a lot.....he is a fighter! He believes in his abilities and fights till the end! He has proved himself and his worth in the Indian team many a times. He had a great come-back after the "Greg Chapell" chapter. But recently, he is going through bad form. He has already been dropped from the ODI squad and not performing well in tests too! But he is truly the Bengal Tiger!!!

Sourav was a good player & a captain too, but now a days he is struggling with his form. As for his better future he should quit international cricket on his own rather than being overlooked or removed from the team. Anyhow he has lost his place in ODI's & now due to his poor form his test place is also in danger.
