The Emerald isle is Ireland. We all associate the color green with Ireland, and it's one third of the colors in the flag. The irony of this is, St. Patrick's official color (for himself) is actually blue. Hope this helps.

St. Patrick is the Patron Saint of Ireland. Though his personal color is blue (believe it or not) the traditional color for Ireland is Green. Gotta love the green!

Ireland is the Emerald Isle, it has green pastures, shamrocks are green, leprechauns are pretty green....
